“About SEO In Web Design”
“Ranking With SEO”
Some say that Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is a science that would enable you to ensure a favorably
prominent position, or high Page Rank (PR), for your website in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) after your
website goes live. And since most of your traffic will come from the search engines, SEO is critical in the
success how your website will rank.
Link Popularity
Your link popularity represents the number of back links your website has. To check you website's
current link popularity, head over to linkpopularity.com
and use the free tool that can be found there. The higher your link popularity, the higher your PR or
Page Rank will be.
Building your link popularity involves increasing the number of websites that will link to yours. This is
easier said than done. It's not a matter of getting reciprocal links like “you link to me and I'll
link to yours.” Google, in particular, despises reciprocal linking. You have to get unilateral links
to your website.
The best way to do this is by ensuring that you have unique, highly informative content. This is
the number one strategy to invite websites to link to yours.
That is why I offer a Total Website Design Package which includes copywriting,
writing the content–rich information about your "niche"— written specifically for your
business. We do the research. We write the content.
Just fill out the Website Design Inquiry Form with
as much detail as possible, and I'll get back you you within 24—48 hours with a free estimate.
Please know that there is no obligation on your part.
Some Techniques To Build Link Popularity
- Article Marketing. You could submit articles to article directories. There are hundreds of them
on the internet. For every submission, you will be allotted a resource box where you could introduce yourself
and share a link to your website. Some of these article directories have high page ranks. If your articles
are accepted, they will be included. Having a website with high PR linking to yours would be very beneficial
in increasing your own page rank. Places to submit articles >>See Guidelines Page
- Forum marketing. There are probably online communities dedicated to your niche and to your
target audience. Find them and then join them. Your signature box, which would appear in every post you write,
would leave a link to your website. Then post as many messages as you could which would not only project you
as an expert in your field, but for every post you write, you'll have a page linking to your website.
- Advertise at Craigslist.
Here's a novel strategy. Craigslist is a well known classifieds website with a high PR score. To have
a link in a website like this would give a tremendous boost to your own website. Simply go to that site
and choose the category that your pages belong to, then post your advertisement, with your link of course.
It doesn't matter if it gets read or not. What matters is that the search engine spiders would
find your website as they would come from a high PR rated site. Read about what Wikipedia
says about Craigslist.
- Look for partners who are willing to include your list in their pages. The easiest way to do
this is to use the free BackLink Builder tool. More information about SEO and other free tools can be found at

How To Get Your Website Indexed By Google Within 7 Days
Yes, your website can be indexed in Google's database within a week's time after it goes live!
How are you supposed to do this?
According to Google, you don't need to submit your website to them because they'll find it,
and once they do, they'll index your web pages. The reason behind this is quite simple. Google uses
links to hop from one website to another. If they arrive at a page that is unfamiliar to their database,
they will index it—and this is the method your website will become a part of their database.
The problem is, there are literally billions of web pages out there. Even with the mechanical precision
of how Google operates, it will take weeks, if not months, before Google can stumble upon your website
for proper indexing. The trick is in expediting this process.
How Do I Do That?
If only one website is linking to yours, Google has to crawl through that site before it could
discover yours. 1 in 1,000,000,000 is not a favorable ratio. But what if you have 1,000 websites
linking to yours? Your website would have a better chance of getting indexed fast!
The number of websites linking to yours is called your link popularity as stated above. Regardless of
what number would appear (which would probably be zero if you have just published your website),
you have to build your link popularity to at least a thousand so that Google can find your website
within a week. It may sound impossible, but it's not.
Here are some specific steps:
- Write 10 highly informative and unique articles about the topic of your website.
- If you can't write articles, you could hire a freelancer to do it for you.
Go to www.rentacoder.com , www.elance.com or www.guru.com and advertise a job. You'll receive
some bids, and it's up to you to select the best freelancer for the task you want done.
- Submit these articles to as many article directories you could find. The ones you shouldn't
miss are www.ezinearticles.com, www.goarticles.com and www.isnare.com. Being linked via the
latter option has been known to work well with MSN rankings. There are more than a thousand
prominent article directories today. If you have one article in each of their databanks, then
you'd have a thousand pages linking to your website.
- Create a blog at www.blogger.com. Choose the default hosting option, that is, allow Blogger
to host your blog. Blogger is owned by Google. You see the point I'm driving at here? Make
sure that your blog would link to your main website, either as a mention in your posts, or as a
fixed link on your menu bar.
- Link to as many blogs as possible. Chances are, the owners of those blogs would link to your
blog as well, and the readers of those blogs may even do the same thing.
- There are sure to be some forums devoted to the subject of your website. Find these forums
and create an account with each of them. Use the tool at Link Advantage
to find the online community related to the subject of your site. Once you're a member in those forums,
include a link to your website in the signature box that would be provided for. Your signature
box will appear in every post you will make. The trick here is to publish as many significant
posts as you could. Each post will serve as a link to your main website, and would improve its
link popularity.
These steps can be done in 3 days, and before the week is over, you'll learn that your
website was indexed by Google, as well as the other main search engines, too.
